Do you know what day it is?

It's the 119th birthday of the ice cream sundae, and this is how google chose to celebrate!

Cute, right? But, of course, such a momentous occasion deserved a bit more celebration than this, so I hopped and skipped my way over to polyvore {ice cream cone in hand} and made this!

I scream for....

Happy birthday ice cream sundae!! May you have many more like it!!

In which I take pictures of a chocolate unicorn, and discuss the weather

Ha ha! my post title sounds like a chapter name from a turn-of-the-century novel!

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in a 4-H event, taking a class in computers, clay ornament making, and CHOCOLATE!!!!! Needless to say, that last one takes the cake, as they say.

In my chocolate-making class, we made turtles{or frogs} with tiny sugar eyes, chocolate suckers, and a 3D solid chocolate farm animal. Unfortunately, I ate my 3d chick before I thought to take a picture of it. But it tasted so good!! I did, however, manage to restrain myself long enough to take pictures of everything else!

On a completely different note, It has been warm for the past three days here! My mom and I took walks every night!!! It was great! The warm weather seems to be slowing down now, however. Too bad. I was really getting used to it.

W
elcome to the first Inspirational Monday in the month of March!!!! I'm sorry I didn't get this out on Monday, when I was supposed to. But I suppose Tuesday morning is just as good, right?

Some things that inspire me.......

Jennette McCurdy's hair. I want to die

The pictures on Demi Lovato's Second album "Here we go again"

Old fashioned microphones. And red lipstick. They just go together, you know?

Perrywinkle, both a flower and a color.

These cupcakes. Enough said.

Now go out and be inspired!!!

History night

Not too long ago, my homeschool group held what we call "History night". Basically, each child will pick a time period{or specific person/event in history} and create an elaborate report on that topic. I say elaborate, because it's not just an essay, it's a display board, food, costume, and sometimes, a skit. The whole thing is pretty big, and I think this year's history night was the best we've ever had.........and that's saying a lot! Two years ago, I had a mini drive-in movie theatre as part of my report. Cool, right?

Amelia Earhart

The 1950's

Annie Oakley

The wright brothers

Anastasia Romanov

Eleanore Roosevelt

Cowboys

Daniel Boone

Plantation life during the Civil war

See what I mean about it being elaborate? The girl who did the 1950's had an ice cream shop, complete with laminate checkerboard flooring, swing music, and, of course, ICE CREAM!!!! And the little wright brother would twirl his little painted on mustache while he talked {AWWWW!}
Annie Oakley showed me and entire show of her shooting tricks, finishing with the one where she is riding her horse and shoots a moving target while she herself is moving. The kids really went all-out this year. I was very impressed!!!

A man and his pie

This his how my father eats his pie. The problem is, he often can't find his pie under all that whipped cream.......

Just in time for Christmas!

Hello, everyone! Merry Christmas eve!!! I hope everyone is enjoying themselves.

I just wanted to share a video I made on how to make these really great chocolate topped pretzels that are perfect for the holidays. I know it's cutting it a bit short, but it takes only ten minutes to make, and it tastes really good. Please try it!

Mullins' munchies

Have you ever gone through the dilemma after mealtime "what's for dessert?" you suggest brownies, your dad suggests cookies, and you know that this can only end in tears. Which one should we pick?! Well, I think I have a solution! Why not have both?! Watch the following video to get the perfect solution:

You can find this, and other videos by me on my youtube channel!

PS
Only 9 days until my Birthday!!! I know the countdown says 8 days, but that is because it somehow got all messed up. My birthday is on the 3rd.

It was the bussiest of days....

Yesterday was a busy, fun-filled day! I started it off by selling some candy with some friends at a local hardware store for our 4-H group(and brought along Regina):

Take a good look, kids. Zakk is smiling in a picture. It's so rare, I think they should frame this shot and put it in a museum.

Captain Zakk!

My mom and I went straight from there at noon to Greenfield village(with one minor pit stopr to burger king :) where they were completely decked out for Halloween!

This doesn't actually have anything to do with fall, but I thought it was a good picture:)
Wright brothers reenactment

The entrance to one of the many gardens in the village

How cute!!!

After a few hours walking around the village and taking a million and one pictures, mom and I met up with my dad at Bob Evans for dinner. And what a dinner it was!!! Think noodles, chicken chunks, broccoli, alfredo sauce and bread crumbs in the same bowl, and you get this heavenly goodness :)

It was a long day with a lot of walking, but it was also a fun day spent with friends!

Welcome to Fall!

I thought I would bring in the autumn season by telling you all my favorite things about this time of year:

We'll start off with the ever favorited caramel apple :)

And, of course. Halloween, America's excuse to wear costumes!(Of course, I don't need a reason)

You can't leave out the wonderful colors!!!

And last, but certainly not least, the fashions in fall! My favorite articles of clothing are boots, scarves and tights, so I fit right in to this season :)

Autumn is just a wonderful season, and I'm glad it's finally here!!!

Blog party

I found this survey on Bramblewood fashion's blog:

1. Ring! Ring! You receive a phone call from a national sweepstakes organization saying that you have won a life-time supply of your favorite beverage!! What would that drink be?

A strawberry Italian soda or a homemade chocolate milkshake with whipped cream

2. If you could live in a Jane Austen novel, which book would you pick? What character would you be?

Totally Emma from Jane Austen's "Emma". Her life is perfect, and she has sweet clothes :)

3. What is your theme song, that favorite song that absolutely matches you?

Oh, this is a toughie.

4. You are trapped on a deserted island. Your only supplies are the clothes you have on, and a box with five things in it. What are those five things?

1. Bible
2. Water
3. A gun
4. A raft
5. A book entitled "How to survive on a deserted island: Identify edible plants and wood that will be strong enough to make a boat or home"
5. Chocolate or Caramel?

Please. CHOCOLATE! I'm not stupid!

6. Vacation! If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would take a tour of Europe via the Orient Express :)

7. If forced to do one of the two, which would you do: sky diving or scuba diving? Why?
Scuba diving. Definitely. It's WAY safer in my opinion, and I am a wonderful swimmer, if I do say so myself.

8. Favorite TV show, and why?

Totally Laverne and Shirley or the Cosby Show. Laverne and Shirley is set in the 1950's, and is SUPER funny, and they wear cute clothes. The Cosby show is also really funny, and I like that the parents don't let their kids do things willy-nilly. They actually pay attention to their kids. Something that is sadly lacking in television today.

9. Are you a coffee and donuts sorta lady, or a tea and scones type of gal?

Well, even though I am not a fan of either coffee nor tea, I would definitely have to say tea and scones. Yum, English scones with clotted cream!

10.The time machine has finally been created, and you are the first to be able to use it! What era would you travel too?

I'd say sometime in 1940's or 50's America. Back far enough to consider it "History", but modern enough for plumbing. There are just a couple of things I can't love without, and a bathroom is one of them.

11. What is the last movie you watched?

Annie. The 1980's version. I was really bored. And now I remember why I never liked it. Miss Hanigen was always drunk, and Rooster, played by the ever terrifying Tim Currey, tried to actually kill Annie. Horrid.

12. Ding-dong!!! Your favorite actor/singer/celebrity is at your front door!Who would it be?

OHH! Let's see here. Can it be a dead person? It would be Jimmy Stewart

13. What was your absolute favorite toy as a child?

Oh, probably my dress-up clothes, my barbies or my Polly pockets.

14. What kinds of blogs do you like reading best?

I enjoy reading sewing, fashion, DIY, craft-y types of blogs, as well as blogs of everyday lives, provided they are well written and include a lot of pictures. I can't stand a mile-long post without some sort of visualization.

I think that's it! Gee, that was fun! You guys should try it!!!
