Manicures at home!!!

I found this tutorial on how to make nail polish hearts on pinterest, the best website in the history of websites. I am officially addicted, by the by.

Anywho, back on topic. I LOVE nail designs, but am too poor to get a professional manicure to get those pretty flowers, so I thought I would try this. It didn't look too hard. It wasn't hard at all, actually.

My version. :)

Cute, huh?

If you like to paint your nails, and are tired of the humdrum sameness of a single color with no flair, I think this heart is a great thing to try!

Lantern tours 2011

Hello all! It's been so long, I've missed blogging, and, now that I have something to write about, perhaps I can get back into it.

So, it's Lantern Tours time again!!! I really do so love Lantern Tours. Allison joined me on Friday, and, of course, we had a photo shoot in our costumes before we left :)

And now for the un-edited, goof off-y pictures that are very historically accurate, and, oh! One of Allison reading a book ;)This is what happens when I go inside, and leave the camera with Allison

The Napoleon Bonaparte pose :)

.....and Allison reading a book..........

Until later!!!!

Of shoes and ships and sealing wax......

Well, not really, though, shoes are involved in this post. To be honest, I didn't really know what to call this post, so I went to my trusty what-to-do-when-you-don't-know-what-to-name-your-blog-post book, Alice in Wonderland. Works every time. :)

I didn't really have anything of importance to write about, but it's been far too long since I have written, I decided to just post random pictures of things that I really like, or maybe wany, or maybe have already. Whatever.

Seeing polka-dots!

Could you ever believe that there is such a thing as a modest skirt in such a place as forever21? A week ago, I would have answered no, but then I found{and purchased} this beauty! I have never been so pleased to be proven wrong ♥ Doesn't it look so cute and vintage?

What I wore.....July 10, 2011

yeah, yeah, I know. This was yesterday. So sue me.
Actually, this outfit is pretty plain in comparison to what I usually wear, but it was perfect for this hot weather we've been having, plus I had band practice, and I have learned from experience that it's not the best idea to dress up.

A Thrifty find

Actually, I bought this last summer, but it didn't fit. But it was so cute, and only 50 cents, so I just had to have it! And now, {hoorah!) It fits!!!! YAY!! Don't you just love it? I'm so excited to have a summer 1860's dress{or 1970's, depending on whether or not you want to wear the petticoat} Someone actually made this dress, it wasn't made in a factory, which, I thought was extra cool.

It's got some pretty cool detail too.

I love thrifting! It's so much fun!

Gladiator Sandals-Forever21

Silver bangle bracelet-H&M

I found this super cute and comfortable shirt at Penny's yesterday, for super on sale. It was originally $20(Which I think is a stupid price for a shirt) but I bought it for $7!! I am officially the deal-finder of the century ☺

Friday, July 1, 2011

It's only the deal of the century....

The Elder-Beerman in my area is currently having a major sale. Everything is dirt cheap on sale, because they need to make room for......I hesitate to say it.....FALL. There. I said it. And now I feel filthy, and in need of a shower. Excuse me.

O.K. I'm back, clean, and ready to tell my story. So, like I said, everything was WAY on sale, and as I was looking around aimlessly, I spotted this really cute leather jacket, and, making a beeline straight for it, I fell in love. But my love was hindered when I noticed the price tag. $100. There was no way. But then....BUT THEN!!! I saw the best sign I have ever read. The sign read "All jackets $15." And I was like WHA?!?!? And, after my ecstatic screaming ceased, I found my size, and ran through the entire store, in search of my mother. And the rest is history......

So, I know I can't wear it for at least two months, but I don't care! It was too darn cheap, and cute to pass up!

Hey, all! Happy Father's day!!!

I'm doing an outfit post today{SHOCK!!!!} Haven't done one of these in a few days! So, here goes...........

I love the design on this dress! I wore this to church today, and got so many compliments along the lines of "You look like a Grecian princess!" Yay!

Last night, I french braided my hair, starting at my scalp, and braiding to the very end, and slept in it, which created these waves! Super easy and cute♥

The dress is SOOOO comfy! I told my mom that I felt like I was going to church in my night gown, it's that great!

Inspirational Monday....May 30, 2011

Look! I'm back for inspirational Monday!!! Hopefully, I will do a better job of posting every Monday than I have of late.

This week's inspiration reflects the current weather here, which is HOT. It is about 90 degrees right now, and I'm still getting used to the abrupt change.

2011 homeschool prom

Yo, what up, homefries? Ha, ha!

Last night was my homeschool prom, and I must say, it was great! There was lots of dancing, good food and great friends to "hang" with! I took some pics, and I am ready to share them with you. Now the only question is, are you ready to see them? I guess we'll just have to find out, now won't we?
My hair before and after. I'm telling you, it's not easy being beautiful...LOL

The complete look of both myself and my mother, who was a chaperon

"Strike a pose, but make it look natural" my mother says. And THIS is what we come up with?!

KARA!!!! I would like to draw your attention to her dress, which was purchased at goodwill for $15, and was discovered to be a top designer dress retailed at several hundred dollars.

Cha cha real smoothe.....

It's electric!

Me and Mrs. M{Z and A's mom} and, oh look! There's Adam in the background "trying not to be in the picture". Yeah, dude. Try harder next time.

HUGS!
I'm so proud of Adam. He danced every dance, and this was his first prom ever. It was also his first time dancing. Bravo, my friend.

There's Adam yet again trying not to be in the picture! LOL

All in all it was a pretty fun night! I really enjoyed myself, and now I'm sore from all that dancing! Tootle!
