On this Halloween night.....

So, I went to a harvest party yesterday at Allison's house, and we made a movie...shocker......what you should be shocked about is that we made a music video to "Thriller" by Michael Jackson :) Are you shocked? Hee, hee, just wait 'till you watch the movie!

I went over to Allison's house today after Christmas Carol auditions{Oh my word! I didn't do a count down! I ALWAYS do a count down!!! Sorry, guys........}

Anywho, we made a super fun stop-motion short film, and it's so great and awesome, I decided that the whole world must see it :) So watch.....

A friend at the piano

O.K. now that you know all about what I'm talking about {ha!} I would like to share with you a series of videos. This past week, my friend Adam, who is an amazing piano player, was asked to help sell pianos for a local company at our county fair by playing for an hour. Don't really have anything to post, but my piano teacher introduced me to this song, and I fell instantly in love{as I do with so many things!} and I knew that it would be a crime not to share it with all of you.

It's totally bee, like, FOREVER since my last post. Sorry about that! I don't really have much time to do a big post right now, but I did want to leave y'all with a nice little tid bit of me. Ever since I first heard the song "keep your head up" by Andy Grammar, I was in love, and I haven't been able to stop listening since!! It only takes one click, and you'll be in love, too! See, aren't I nice?

I'm FINALLY showing you what I got!

Hey, sorry, guys! I meant to post this last week, but just never got around to doing it. I'm sure most of you guessed what I was talking about in my last post, but for those who didn't, I GOT A PIANO!!!!!!! Wanna see what it looks like? Yeah, I thought you would!

Some teens from the local homeschool "scene", including myself, started a band, and we had our second practice this past Saturday. before I show you a clip of one of the songs we're working on, let me introduce you to the group:

Adam- Lead keyboard

Zakk- Lead Guitar

Grace- Drums

Kara-Electric Guitar/vocals
Corey{that one buggy eye behind Kara}- Guitar

Along with myself, there is one other member, Katherine, who plays keyboard, but I didn't get a picture of her.

Swing it!

Every spring, during the entire month of June, we celebrate our community, starting with a parade, and ending with fireworks on the 4th of July. Each year, our library hosts a band to play in the park next door, and this year, the style was Big Band!!

2011 homeschool prom

Yo, what up, homefries? Ha, ha!

Last night was my homeschool prom, and I must say, it was great! There was lots of dancing, good food and great friends to "hang" with! I took some pics, and I am ready to share them with you. Now the only question is, are you ready to see them? I guess we'll just have to find out, now won't we?

Inspirational Monday....April 4, 2011

Yay!! I didn't forget to do an inspirational post on inspirational Monday! Again, I'm sorry I forgot last week.

I've been thinking a lot about Broadway musicals lately, getting "wicked" songs stuck in my head, and to top it off, a couple weeks ago, PBS broadcasted the Les Miz concert, and I've had "one day more" running through my head ever since, which is annoying, since I don't know any of the words. Not that that's a bad thing, I do so love to sing Broadway songs at the top of my lungs as I do my chores around the house, especially when I vacuum, that way no one else can hear me belting out "Dear officer Krumpkee", thank goodness!

I hope you all have been inspired to go around the house singing "Memory" at the top of your lungs!

I could dance all night......to these tunes!

So, I was bored, and really in the mood to dance, but then when I got up to do it, I suddenly didn't feel like dancing any more. Then I thought, "gee, wouldn't it be fun if I made a playlist of a bunch of songs that I like to dance to and then post it on my blog?" and I agreed with myself that it was a great idea, and proceeded to make that very playlist, and here it is!!!

By the by, you like how I managed to use the word "peeps" in a sentence? Yeah, me to. I think I should use it more often. It makes me feel hip...............and then I make that statement, which takes away all my recently gained cool-ness. So I think I'll stop talking before I embarrass myself to much and just give y'all a video. Cool? Cool.
