Something wicked this way comes.....PART 3!

Seeing as,even though I said I would post something every day about wicked,I didn't yesterday,so I am adding an extra post to the countdown of wicked. IT'S IN ONLY 4 DAYS!!!!

Today,I talk abut Elphaba:

Dodd's first appearance in Wicked came in the show's national touring production on December 5, 2006. She appeared as an ensemble member, understudying the roles of Nessarose and Elphaba, replacing original national tour Elphaba/Nessarose understudy Maria Eberline. Her first performance as Nessarose was on March 25, 2007 in Miami, Florida, and her first as Elphaba was at the matinee on April 7, 2007 in Houston, Texas.

After a year with the touring production, she joined the Los Angeles company of Wicked as the principle Nessarose, taking over the role from Jenna Leigh Green. Her first performance as Nessarose was on December 13, 2007. After three months of performing as Nessarose full-time, Dodd temporarily replaced the injured Courtney Corey as the understudy for the role of Elphaba while still regularly performing as Nessarose. Her first performance as Elphaba in Los Angeles was on April 22, 2008. Dodd went on to replace Teal Wicks as the standby for the role of Elphaba in Los Angeles on May 16, 2008. She departed the Los Angeles production on October 26, 2008. Vicki Noon succeeded her as standby to Elphaba on November 4, 2008.

After leaving the Los Angeles company, Dodd transferred to Wicked's Broadway production in New York, taking over the lead role of Elphaba from Kerry Ellis, from November 11, 2008, starring alongside Alli Mauzey as Glinda. Upon her move to Broadway, she became the first (and only) actress to have performed as both principle Nessarose and principle Elphaba. She remained as Elphaba in New York until January 11, 2009 and was succeeded by Nicole Parker.

Dodd is currently originating the role of Elphaba in the second national touring production of Wicked. The production opened on March 7, 2009 in Fort Myers, Florida. Heléne Yorke stars opposite Dodd as Glinda. On March 10, 2010 Former Wicked alumni Natalie Daradich joined Dodd on tour relpacing Heléne Yorke. Dodd is set to leave the tour in May 2010 being replaced by another former Wicked alumni Vicki Noon. Marcie Dodd will then replace Eden Espinosa as Elphaba in the San Francisco production on June 8, 2010.
